Bil-Jax 3522A trailer-mounted articulating boom lift
Specifications for the Bil-Jax 3522A from the archived Bil-Jax literature, and parts and service for it from an independent shop in Orlando, Florida.
The Bil-Jax 3522A is the smallest articulating boom in the Summit Series towables: about 42 ft of working height, 19 ft of up and over clearance and a 4 ft 3 in platform jib for getting around an obstruction instead of only reaching past it.
The hydraulic outriggers level it automatically in about 30 seconds with all four deployed together, with 12 1/2 degrees of leveling capability and 10 in non-marking footpads for rough ground or finished floors. It tows behind a half-ton pickup, rated to 65 mph.

Where the literature disagrees
Figures changed between production years and with options, so the serial plate on your machine is the final word. Other archived 3522A literature says:
- The old 3522A page quoted 43 ft working height and 22 ft (22.5 ft) outreach.
- The later technical data sheet lists 43 ft 2 in working height, 37 ft 2 in platform height, 22 ft 6 in outreach from centerline, ST 225/75 R15D tires and 4,300 lb, so check which version you have against the serial plate.
Working height is the platform height plus 6 ft (2 m in metric), as is standard for aerial work platforms. Later Bil-Jax literature carries the Haulotte Group name, which is why the same machine is also looked up as the Haulotte 3522A.
